Šok ZaDruga is the primary project of the most notable artist and activist phenomenon which marked Serbian artistic practice during and after the Post-Yugoslav War – Led Art (1993 – 2001). Multimedia Centre “Led Art” (MMC “Led Art”) contextually renamed Art Clinic (2002-2012) into Šok ZaDruga (Shock Coopertive). The Cooperative’s programmes are currently realised in two exhibition venues in Novi Sad – Šok ZaDruga’s Central Gallery and Shock Corridor. One of the most important activities of the Šok ZaDruga cooperative involves activation and involvement of young artists, with a special emphasis on active work with the communities in which they live and work.
