JÖRG BESSER

Jörg Besser is a performance artist born in Glauchau (GDR) in 1967, and lives and works in Munich and Chemnitz. Formaly trained as an electrician, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich from 2003 to 2010, where he gained a MA degree with Prof. Anke Doberauer. Since 2010 he has been a teacher for anatomical drawing at the AdBK Munich. Jörg Besser has been a founding member of HALLE 6 UG since 2010, where he also works as the director. His recent exhibitions include Die Schwarze Prozession at Odeonsplatz, Munich; 40 years Freies Theater München – Painting „ELVIS“ in the DeutscheTheatermuseum Munich; 10 Jahre HALLE 6 Munich group exhibition; Global Angst – Burning Wickerman; SALON ANUK in Basel, solo exhibition, among others.
