KARKATAG

Karkatag is an art collective from Belgrade formed in 2009. It operates in the field of interactive art and new media, bordering on the performative. Karkatag’s works are usually a kind of machines which, by actively involving the audience and visitors, generate the events which represent an inextricable and essential part of the very works. So far, Karkatag has exhibited/performed in Germany, England, Austria, Poland, Croatia, Montenegro, and a number of cities in Serbia. Artistic works by Karkatag are permanently exhibited in the Museum of Yugoslavia, Remont Gallery and along the façade of the Fabrika building, in Novi Sad’s Chinatown.
