GORAN DIMIĆ

Goran Dimić was born in 1963 in Kragujevac, SFR Yugoslavia. He graduated from the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade. He has been exhibiting his works since 1980, while he has simultaneously made graphic design solutions for record covers (Partibrejkers, Električni orgazam, EKV…) and different newspapers and magazines (Omladinske, Non, Student, Pop-Lava…). He was a founder and member of the multimedia group ToFrizure, where, under the patronage of Biljana Tomić, he exhibited in Student Cultural Centre in Belgrade. He has lived in Budapest since 1992, where he exhibited in the Contemporary Art Pavillion (Műcsarnok) and Raday Gallery. In Serbia, he participated in different solo and group exhibitions and festivals, including the National Museum of Kragujevac, Remont – Independent Art Association, Grad Cultural Centre, Gallery of the Youth’s Cultural Centre of Kragujevac, Heritage House in Belgrade, Arsenal Fest, etc. He gladly participates in art colonies, actively shoots short films and publishes comics in printed media, while he still lives off creating advertisements. He is a member of the Association of Applied Artists and Designers of Serbia (ULUPUDS), as well as its Hungarian counterpart organisation MAOE.
