AICA – Serbia

This year, AICA – Serbian section is raising the fundamental historical and contemporary issues of the institution of the October Salon, studying the materials of the recently established archive of this art manifestation: press clippings, catalogs, photographs, legal documents and oral testimonies. Centering on the figure of criticism as a necessary driver of cognitive processes, a mediator in social relations and public opinion, the members of the AICA association organize an elaborate symposium that contains three debate programs: October Salon and Art Criticism; Art criticism of the second half of the 20th century: viewpoints, criticisms, discussions; The October Salon and large exhibitions of contemporary art: modalities of exposition and reflection, how to think further?
