DALIBORKA ĐURIĆ

Daliborka Đurić was born in 1972 in Belgrade. She graduated from the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade, and in 2003, she received a postgraduate degree from the same faculty, mentored by Prof Jadranka Simonović, her MA thesis being titled “Figuration in the Field of Tapestry”.  Her artistic opus is based on reading, studying and interpreting textile forms, ides and expressions from the past and their visual and connotative transposition into new contents and forms, through the lens of the women’s, social and phenomenological. She has been a member of the Serbian Association of Visual Artists in Applied Arts and Design – ULUPUDS since 1997. She lives and works in Belgrade.
