UROŠ ĐURIĆ

Uroš Đurić (1964) lives and works in Belgrade. He studied art history at the Faculty of Philosophy (1984-87) and painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade, where he graduated (1992) and finished his MA studies (1998). He has actively exhibited his works ever since 1989. During the years, his works were presented in many art galleries and museums, including Jeu de Paume in Paris, Kunsthalle Fridericianum in Kassel, Austrian Cultural Forum in New York, Albertina, Ludwig, Secession and Kunsthalle in Vienna, Zachęta Gallery in Warsaw, Frankfurter Kunstverein in Frankfurt, Museum of Modern Art in Saint-Etienne and Stadtpark Forum in Graz. He cooperated with Thomas Trummer, René Block, Gerald Matt, Lóránd Hegyi, Victoria Combalia, Ami Barak, as well as with the majority of the most renowned Serbian and regional institutions and curators. His works are included in the collections of Albertina and Ludwig museums in Vienna, Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade, Museum of Contemporary Art of Vojvodina in Novi Sad, as well as in many other public and private collections all over the world. He received the October Salon Award (1991 & 2005), Nadežda Petrović Memorial Prize (1994), Award of the Youth Biennale (1996) and Sava Šumanović Award (2021).
